One Of A Kind Building Materials and Hand Crafted Fixtures
Our one of a kind building materials give Castle Bridge Event Center a look and feel that is difficult to replicate or find anywhere.
More than 90% of our building materials are from recycled or reclaimed lumber. Most of our standing timbers were living trees in the 1700's. Much was shipped into St. Joseph, Missouri in the 1880's by rail from Oregon virgin timber forests, mainly Douglas Fir, to build the famous stockyards.
The timber at the corner of our generous bar has 122 growth rings, making it a living tree in the 1760's. We have named it 'Tim Burr".
One of the solid maple hand rails came from owner Kevin Carver's farm house in northern Iowa which he held on to from 2nd grade on.
Many of our chandeliers and light fixtures have been hand-crafted by a local metal artist.

Surrounding Woods and Waterside Views
A beautiful lake is crossed by two bridges, forming a long, dramatic walkway for outdoor weddings. Bluff Woods stands majestically in the distance as a sweeping backdrop.
